The Private Security Industry Act (PSIA) 2001 requires those who provide and / or carry out contracted security activities to hold an SIA Licence.
The SIA (Security Industry Authority) requires these individuals as part of the licence application to have undergone a structured programme of training and education resulting in a recognised qualification.
